Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus calling for the records in memo No.1112/BDFGISSV/2014 dated 02.09.2014 on the file of the respondent-1, viz., the Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai, Egmore, Chennai-600 008 and to set aside the order passed the above said memo and let the petitioner, viz., Sathishkumar, son of Arumugam, aged about 27 years, No.259, 1st street, B-Kalavanapuram, Vyasarpadi, Chennai 600039, now detained at Central Prison No.II, Puzhal, Chennai 600066.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.TAMILVANAN, J.) The petitioner, who is the detenu herein has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the first respondent dated 02.09.2014 against him branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Piracy Act 1982 [Act 14 of 1982].

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the first respondent as against the petitioner herein dated 02.09.2014 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.5447, Home, Prohibition & Excise [XIII] Department dated 27.10.2014 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
