Prayer : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.03.2016 to issue allotment order in his favour. The petitioner claims title through an unregistered sale deed dated 24.05.2014 executed by Mr.N.Selvin Prabhu. Her husband had purchased Plot No.381, Survey No.123/1 at Lakshmipuram, Velachery, Chennai - 42 and her husband is living separately and however, the statutory levy in respect of the property in question is being assessed in the name of the petitioner and she is also paying the same.
2. The petitioner would state that during the year 1997, the respondent has allotted 355 plots under Lakshmipuram allotment scheme, Velachery, Chennai - 42. Though the petitioner submitted a representation dated 25.03.2016 for the allotment of the above said plot, no response is forthcoming and therefore, came forward to file this Writ Petition.

4. Though the name of the counsel for the respondent appears in the cause list, there is no representation.

This Court taking into consideration, the above facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner either in this Writ Petition or in her representation dated 25.03.2016, the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice to the persons concerned and pass orders within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner as well as to the other persons concerned.
