Respondents Contempt Petition filed under section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the respondents herein for having committed contempt of Court in willfullly disobeying the orders passed by this Court in WP.No.22531/2016 dated 01.07.2016.

ORDER

Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner ; Mr.V.P.Senguttuvel, learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.K.Venkataramani, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.K.Dhananjayan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 3rd respondent. The learned Additional Advocate General has invited the attention of this Court to the affidavit as well as to the additional affidavit filed by the 3rd respondent and would submit that the reasons for delay have been properly explained and it cannot be construed to be neither willful nor wanton and would submit that the request for remission of some amount has been positively considered and orders have also been passed.

In the light of the stand taken by the 3rd respondent in the affidavit as well as in the additional

affidavit coupled with the order dated 01.02.2017 made in Memo vide RC.No.1424/IE-2/2014, the contempt petition is closed.
