Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Court Act, to punish the respondents for willful and deliberate disobedience of the common order passed by this Court in W.P.Nos.28186 to 28194 of 2015, dated 23.02.2016. For Petitioners : Mr.A.Selvendran For Respondents : Mr.M.Rajasekar

COMMON ORDER This Court, while disposing of the writ petitions in W.P.Nos.28186 to 28194 of 2015, by a common order dated 23.02.2016, directed the petitioners to give fresh representation to the 1st respondent and on such representation, the 1st respondent was directed to reconsider the claim of the petitioners and to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks.

2.The present contempt petitions have been filed by the petitioners alleging non-compliance of the order dated 23.02.2016 passed by this Court.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the order of this Court has been complied with by the respondents and that the respondents have passed an order on 14.02.2018 rejecting the claim of the petitioners.

4.Since the order of this Court has been complied with, nothing survives in these contempt petitions and accordingly, the same are closed. However, the petitioners

are at liberty to challenge the order passed by the respondents, in the manner known law, if they so desire.
