ORDER

The present writ petition is filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to issue Computerized Patta in respect of Land and Building bearing Door No.97, Bala Vinayagar Koil Street, Lakshmipuram, Chennai - 600 099, measuring an extent of 1280 Sq.feet, comprised in Old S.No.100/1A1C2 (As per Patta No.1077 - New S.No.100/1A1C2B1 of Puthagaram Madura Pelavarai Village, Madhavaram Taluk, Chennai District in favour of the Petitioner according to law.

2.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that Patta 2/6

No.1077 originally stood in the name of the petitioner. The manual Patta was being digitized and during digitization of Patta, the name of the petitioner viz., G.Sundaram was entered as Moorthy. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has approached the Revenue Divisional Officer, Madhavaram, who is the 3rd respondent herein. The Revenue Divisional Officer in turn directed the Tahsildar, Madhavaram Taluk to conduct an enquiry as to whether there is any such error. 3.At the outset, it was submitted by the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents would submit that the Tahsildar, Madhavaram Taluk shall conduct an enquiry and submit a report to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Madhavaram and thereafter, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Madhavaram would pass appropriate orders within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

4.In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to 4th respondent to conduct an enquiry and submit a report to the 2nd respondent within a period of four (4) 3/6

weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter, the 2nd respondent shall consider the report on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested persons/stake holders, within a period of eight (8) weeks. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the report and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the report on its own merits and in accordance with law. No Costs.
