ORDER

The order impugned passed by the Sub Collector, Hosur in proceedings dated 01.08.2013 reveals that the patta was granted in the name of the father of the writ petitioner one Pappachari.

2. The petitioner claims that he has inherited the property from his father and he made an application for changing the classification of the subject property. The authorities have verified the revenue records and found that the subject property has been classified as "vari". When the land has been classified as "Vari", the petitioner has submitted an application after a lapse of 52 years. The Sub Collector, Hosur, rejected the application on the ground that the re-classification cannot be done, since the land has been classified as "Vari" and the revenue records remains as it is for more than 52 years.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the subject property is a patta land.

4. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the competent civil court of law and independently establish his title or ownership in the manner known to law.
