ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents herein to provide the petitioner with the copy of the school teachers attendance register maintained for the teachers in Aided Middle School, Karuppankadu, Thennampulam, Nagapattinam District for the

period from 01.06.2015 to 30.04.2018 with proper seal and signature in each page.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner filed a complaint for the offence punishable under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, as against the sixth respondent herein, on the file of the District Munsiff-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Vedaranyam, in S.T.C.No.608 of 2015. It was ended in acquittal. However, the petitioner finds the sixth respondent herein always in the Court premises and he sought for the attendance register of the sixth respondent in the fifth respondent school for the period from 01.06.2015 to 30.04.2018. The petitioner also applied for those details under the Right To Information Act.

4. Therefore, if at all the information is furnished to the petitioner under the Right To Information Act, the petitioner can very well file an appeal before the Appellate authority.

5. In view of the above, this writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
