This petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent police to register the petitioner's complaint dated 29.04.2016 immediately and to investigate the same in accordance with law.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent-State.

On a reading of the petitioner's complaint dated 29.04.2016, it appears that the petitioner has been selling building materials to the opposite party from 2010 onwards and that the opposite party owes a sum of Rs.20 lakhs to the petitioner.

In a case of this nature, no positive direction can be issued to the respondent police to register an F.I.R., as this is clearly a money dispute between the petitioner and the opposite party.

In the result, this petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
