ORDER
The petitioner has filed the above writ petition seeking for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondents 1 to 3 to consider and dispose of his representation dated 16.05.2015 on merits and in accordance with law.
2. The petitioner has given a representation opposing to the animal sacrifice to be conducted in Arulmighu Sree Angalaparameswari Thirukoil, Emmampundi Village, Gobichettipalayam Taluk, Erode District. According to the petitioner, though the representation was sent to the respondents 1 to 3 on 16.05.2015, they have not considered the same till date.
3. Mr.R.Ravichandran, learned Additional Government Pleader, who took notice on behalf of the respondents, submitted that the third respondent may be directed to consider and pass orders on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 16.05.2015, within a stipulated time.
4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and considering the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, the third respondent is directed to consider the
petitioner's representation dated 16.05.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law taking into consideration the right of the petitioner in opposing the animal sacrifice, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
