ORDER

Mr.P.Senthilvel, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondent to register and release the settlement deed dated 18.05.2016 executed by the petitioner in favour of his daughter. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. It is stated that the 2nd respondent, though has received the document and given Document No. P201600015, till this date, he has not either registered the same or returned the same to the petitioner.

4. Needless to say that once the document is presented before the second respondent, he cannot keep it pending for long time without passing any order either registering the same or returning the same to the petitioner.

5. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of only by directing the second respondent to look into the document filed by the petitioner dated 18.05.2016 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
