J U D G M E N T

When the matter was called on 17.07.2018, there was no representation on behalf of the appellants. Again, when the matter was called on 23.07.2018 and on 30.07.2018, there were no representation on behalf of the appellants.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor represented that Mr.N.Pappiah, the learned counsel for the appellants died. But another counsel Mr.P.Suresh babu, also is not appeared. However, he submitted that the appeal is directed as against the common order dated 14.08.2009 passed in Crl.M.P.Nos. 2468 & 2469 of 2007 in C.C.No.2 of 2000, on the file of the Special Court for TNPID Act, Chennai, thereby dismissing the discharge petition filed by the appellants.

3. The respondent has filed a status report, in which it is stated that in view of the interim stay passed by this Court on 11.09.2009, all further proceedings of the C.C.No.2 of 2000, is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

pending without any further progress from the year 2009. Therefore, prayed for dismissal of this appeal.

4. In view of the above status report filed by the respondent and due to paucity of time, pendency of this appeal would not serve any purpose to the parties. Therefore this appeal is dismissed. The appellants are at liberty to raise all the grounds, which were raised in this Criminal Appeal, before the Trial Court during trial.

5. With these above observation, this Criminal Appeal stands dismissed.
