ORDER

When this Criminal Original Petition was taken up, an affidavit was filed by the second respondent in which she has stated that the petitioner is the house-owner where she resided and originally there was a dispute between her family and the petitioner herein, in respect of rent amount. On 27.11.2016, the petitioner came to her house and enquired about his father, abused him and went away. When she and her nephew, gave complaint to the respondent Police Station, the respondent police obtained signatures of her in blank papers. Later on, she came to know that using her signatures in blank papers, a case has been registered against the petitioner with different allegation. Thus, it is stated that no occurrence took place as alleged in the complaint.

2.Both the parties are present. Their identities have been verified and they accepted the contents in the affidavit as true and genuine.

3.In view of the affidavit filed by the second respondent stating that that no occurrence had taken place as alleged in the complaint, recording the same, the proceedings in Crime No.9 of 2016 pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, W-26 All Women Police Station, Ashok Nagar, Chennai is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
