[ Respondents ] Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct all the respondents herein to suitably correct the date of birth of the petitioners eldest son P.A.Mohsin born on 2.11.1990 with reference to the basic record i.e.birth certificate dated 9.02.1994 of Birth & Death

Registrar Kuzhuppilly Panchayat Government of Kerala in all the connected records as 2.11.1990 only (correct date as per records) instead of the wrong entry of date of birth now prevailing in all the educational certificate as 02.03.1991(Which is a mistake) and for other order.

O R D E R

Mr.M.Vijayakumar, learned counsel takes notice for the 1st respondent and Mr.R.Ravichandran, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the 2nd respondent.

2. Though the petitioner has filed the writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to correct the date of birth in the educational certificates, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if the representation dated 20.04.2015 given by him to the 2nd respondent is considered and disposed of by the 2nd respondent within a stipulated time.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the 2nd respondent submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to

dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 20.04.2015 within a stipulated time.

4. Taking into consideration the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and also the submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader, I direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
