O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to dispose of the suo moto revision initiated by the respondent against the petitioner in his proceedings in D1/SMRP No.1/2018(L.Ref), dated 25.01.2019.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that, earlier she was granted assignment of surplus land under the Tamil Nadu Land Reforms and Surplus Land Rules, in the year 1989. Thereafter, the respondent herein has initiated suo moto revision against grant of assignment to the petitioner in the year 2019, and the same is pending, and no order has been passed, the petitioner filed the present writ petition.

3. Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent will pass suitable orders on merit.

4. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion, this Court direct the respondent Commissioner of Land Reforms to pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
