O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.02.2026 and to direct the respondent to reissue the Passport bearing No.Y6381604, within a stipulated period as fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that her passport was torn and damaged by her in-laws children, who came as guest to her residence which was an accident, due to which, she applied for re-issuance of her passport by narrating the entire facts. After her appearance for enquiry before the Passport Authorities as well as on completion of verification process by the respondent police also, her application was not considered and thereafter, she made a detailed representation to the first respondent on 14.02.2026, which also evoked no response and hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent concerned to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.02.2026 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
