Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent Commission to follow the reservation with regard to women in a horizontal manner by interlocking the same with communal reservation and not to follow Scheduled Caster Arunthathiyar category to fill up the backlog vacancies notified vide advertisement 257 dated 29.12.2010 and consequently direct the respondent commission to fill up the backlog vacancies first purely on merit based on the marks obtained in the written examination and oral interview and consequently direct the respondent commission to include the name of the petitioner in the selection list and consequently direct to select and appoint the petitioner to the Group I services notified vide advertisement No.257 dated 29.12.2020.

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that in the absence of interim order, the writ petition has become infructuous, and otherwise also, a period of ten years has already passed after the selection.

In view of the aforesaid, the writ petition is dismissed as rendered infructuous. No costs. Consequently, M.P.Nos.1 to 4 of 2013 are also dismissed.
