O R D E R

Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal preferred by him dated 21.09.2016, within a time frame.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that inspite of the petitioner filing the appeal as early as on 21.09.2016, the first respondent has not disposed of the same yet.

4.Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the first respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal in accordance with law, within a time frame.

5.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 21.09.2016 and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of hearing to all the interested parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
