ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by KRISHNAN RAMASAMY.J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent herein to produce the daughter of the petitioner Indhumathi, 20 years, before this Court and set her at liberty forthwith.

It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter Indhumathi, aged about 20 years, who got married to Stethen @ Vijay on 06.06.2019, quarrelled with her husband and went missing since 12.03.2021. Despite the registration of the case in Ambattur Police Station Crime No.243 of 2021, no action has been taken by the police to secure the detenue. 3.

On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that Indhumathi (detenue) was having an affair with one Hari and has eloped with him. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

In view of the above, this habeas corpus petition is closed with a direction to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ambattur to monitor the investigation in Ambattur Police Station Crime No.243 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue Indhumathi, aged about 20 years, is secured, she shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Ambattur, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders with regard to the custody of the detenue.
