This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to register an FIR based on the petitioner's complaint dated 18.05.2016, which was forwarded by the 1st respondent to the 2nd respondent.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. It is seen that the petitioner has sent the complaint dated 18.05.2016 by post to the Chairman, Human Rights Commission, Chennai and a copy marked to the State Commission for Women and the Superintendent of Police. Under Section 154 Cr.P.C., the complaint has to be lodged before the jurisdictional police and only if they fail to take the same on file, the parties are at liberty to send the same by registered post. Under such circumstances, the petitioner is directed to go in person and lodge a fresh complaint before the second respondent and on such complaint being given, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

second respondent shall enquire into the same and take action in accordance with law.
