Respondents PRAYER:- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records relating to the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent pertaining to the order made in C.M.P.No.06/GOONDA/C2/2020 dated 22.06.2020 in detaining the detenu under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982, as a Goonda and quash the same and to direct the 4th respondent to produce the detenu Moorthi, S/o.Kannan, male, aged about 29 years, who is detained at Central Prison, Salem, before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in C.M.P.No.06/GOONDA/C2/2020 dated 22.06.2020 detaining him as "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this matter has become infructuous, since the period of detention is already over. Hence, this habeas corpus petition is dismissed as having become infructuous.
