ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondent police not to harass the petitioner, the petitioner has come up with this petition. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent and perused the material placed on record.

3.In this petition, the petitioner has alleged that at the instance of her daughter-in-law, she was harassed by the respondent police.

4.Today, the Inspector of Police, W-27, All Women Police Station, Vadapalani, is present before this Court. 5.It is the allegation of Asha, the first daughter-in-law of the petitioner that her husband has remarried and he is living in Madurai. On the complaint of Asha, the petitioner was called by the police for enquiry in CSR.NO.136 of 2015 and gave a statement to the police that she is not aware about her son's second marriage. But, the police already have overwhelming material to show that the petitioner has solemnized the second marriage and photographs and CDs have been produced before this Court. 6.Under such circumstances, it is open to the police to register an FIR based on the complaint given by Asha, if any https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

cognizable offence is made out and proceed against the petitioner. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
