O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to call for the records comprised in F.I.R. No.93 of 2012 dated 21.11.2012 on the file of the respondent Police and quash the same in so far as the petitioners are concerned.

2. Heard Mr.T.T.Ravichandran, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.C.Emalias, learned counsel appearing for the first respondent.

3. On a reading of the FIR, it appears that these petitioners are subsequent purchasers of the property and they have purchased it only in the year 2012.

4. It is represented by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners that the defacto-complainant himself has no interest in the property and that he is using this FIR as a ruse to extract money from the petitioners.

5. The respondent Police is directed to proceed with the investigation in Crime No.93 of 2012 and during the course of enquiry, if it is found that these petitioners are innocent, they shall be deleted from the final report. The Police is directed to complete the investigation within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
