ORDER

Seeking direction to the second respondent Inspector of Police, Manimangalam Police station to complete the investigation on the complaint given by the writ petitioner, the present writ petition has been filed. 2.Ms.B.Asha, learned counsel for the petitioner is before this Court. Mr.Leonard Arul Joseph Selvam, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for respondents 1 and 2.

3.It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner has given a complaint that one Mr.Vishnuvardhan Reddy and his accomplice have sold the lands without the knowledge and permission of the petitioner. It was submitted that the petitioner's father had purchased some lands for the purpose of developing the property for the welfare of the workers. But the third respondent who got power from the father of the petitioner has colluded with others and has made sale transaction and therefore, the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the police.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents police submitted that on complaint by the petitioner, CSR was assigned. The petitioner has also given the complaint to the first respondent Commissioner of Police and the Commissioner had assigned the complaint to the Inspector of Police to conduct enquiry and accordingly, the petitioner was summoned for enquiry in C.No.15/DC-CCB-TCP/DGP Gri/25. An enquiry was conducted and during 2/5

enquiry, it was found that the second respondent police has no jurisdiction as it was a complaint involving transaction of more than Rs.1 Crore. Therefore, the CSR and the other materials collected during enquiry pertaining to this case have now been forwarded to the City Crime Branch, Tambaram and the investigation is on.

5.In the light of the above submissions, it is to be seen that the respondents police have initiated necessary steps on the complaint of the petitioner and now the case has been forwarded to the City Crime Branch, Tambaram for investigation. It is submitted by the Additional Public Prosecutor that the investigation will be conducted and the final report shall be filed on completion of the investigation. Recording the above submission, this writ petition is disposed of by giving direction to the investigating agency to complete the investigation and to file the final report as expeditiously as possible, if any offence is made out.
