This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to register the case against Murugan on the basis of the complaint dated 17.6.2015.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Pondy) submitted that the petitioner has sent his complaint dated 17.6.2015 to the Superintendent of Police and not to the jurisdictional police, and hence, the petitioner may be directed to submit his complaint before the Kalapet Police Station, who is the jurisdictional police to take appropriate action. 4.
In view of the said submission, petitioner is directed to submit a copy of the complaint dated 17.6.2015 before the Kalapet Police and on making such complaint, the concerned police is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
directed to conduct enquiry, and during the course of the enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, a regular case shall be registered, following the law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari Vs. Government of Uttar Pradesh and Others reported in (2014) 2 SCC 1.
The Criminal Original Petition is closed with the above directions.
