Respondents Contempt petition filed under section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act to punish the respondents for disobeying the order of this Court in WP No.422 of 2016 dated 19.06.2018.

ORDER

This Contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging non-compliance of the order passed in WP No.422 of 2016 dated 19.06.2018.

This Court vide order dated 19.06.2018 in WP No.17291 of 2017 had disposed of the writ petition in terms of the Judgment of the Hon'ble Full Bench passed in Rev.Application No.227 of 2015 etc W.A.Nos.1744 of 2015, etc ., WP no.29774 of 2015 etc., and Contempt Petition Nos.1545 of 2016 et batch dated 09.12.2016, wherein, the Hon'ble Division Bench had granted benefits to the petitioners in respect of G.O.Ms.No.216, Finance (PC) Department, dated 23.03.1993.

Mr.P.Raja, learned Government Advocate appearing for Respondent / Contemnor would submit that in compliance of the order dated 19.06.2018 in WP.No.422 of 2016, the 3rd respondent has passed an order of rejection dated 03.07.2019 in Na.Ka.No.422/A1/2019 and the remedy is open to the petitioner to challenge the legality of the order of rejection and prays for closure of the contempt petition. 4.

The Third respondent, in compliance of the order passed by this Court, has rejected the request made by the

petitioner, vide proceedings dated 03.07.2019 in Na.Ka.No.422/A1/2019. In the light of the said development, this Contempt Petition is closed. The petitioner is at liberty to challenge the said rejection order by filing a fresh writ petition.
