ORDER
This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioner, based on the complaint given by one Gunavathi.
2. No representation for the petitioner may be on account of boycott of Courts. However, in Harish Uppal [Ex.Capt.] Vs Union of India, reported in [2003] 2 SCC 45, the Hon'ble Supreme Court has held that boycott of Courts is illegal and therefore, this Court perused the records, heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and passed orders.
3. On a complaint given by one Gunavathy, petition enquiry is pending against the petitioner. Under such circumstances, blanket order of 'not to harass' cannot be passed. The petitioner shall co-operate for the enquiry and during the course of enquiry, he shall not be harassed. However, if any cognizable offence is made out, this order would not be a shield against the arrest of the accused. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
