Petitioner claiming to be the owner of the property bearing No.2, Old No.33, Krishna Doss road, 4th street, Mangalapuri, Chennai situated at Plot No.14, Layout No.98/68, comprised in O.S.No.48 Part, R.S.No.327/27 Part and Patta No.C851/50-51, Perambur Taluk, Purasawalkam Sub Registrar office,
North Madras District after purchasing the property under registered sale deed, dated 28.3.2007 has come to this Court seeking direction to the second respondent herein to carry out mutation of revenue records after inspection of the petitioner's property.
2 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that originally, the said property was purchased by petitioner's wife from one K.Jayaseelan under a sale deed, dated 28.3.2007 and subsequently, she had settled the said property in favour of the petitioner under a deed of settlement, dated 5.9.2013. Immediately after settlement, the petitioner has made representation on 27.11.2013, 14.6.2017 and 13.3.2018. This apart, he submitted online application on 3.4.2018 to the second respondent. Since there is no response from the respondents, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present writ petition.
3 The learned Special Govt. Pleader requested that this Court may direct the second respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner on the basis of online application, dated 3.4.2018 along with sale deed and settlement deed. 4 Recording the said submission made by the learned Special Govt. Pleader, the second respondent is hereby directed to consider the application along with necessary documents and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, if it is already subdivided, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, otherwise within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4 The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
