2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.

On perusal of the records, it is seen that the Maintenance Case was ordered on 25.09.2024, directing the petitioner/father to pay a sum of Rs.20,000/- per month as maintenance to the second petitioner/wife from the date of petition till the minor daughter attains majority, and also to pay the educational expenses of the minor daughter. However, the petition was dismissed insofar as the first petitioner is concerned. The Maintenance Case itself pertains to the year 2018.
4. The present petition has been filed seeking to condone the delay of 482 days in filing the Criminal Revision Case. The only reason assigned by the
petitioner is that he was suffering from jaundice and had taken conventional treatment. However, no medical records or acceptable proof have been produced to substantiate the said claim.
5. Taking into consideration of the above facts, particularly the inordinate delay of 482 days and the absence of sufficient and satisfactory explanation for such delay, this Court is of the view that no sufficient cause has been shown in the affidavit filed in support of this petition to condone the delay.
6. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition stands dismissed and consequently, the Criminal Revision Case is rejected at the SR stage itself. 02-04-2026 skr Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes
