ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed for directing the 1st respondent to consider petitioner's representation dated 24.02.2023 and directing the respondents remove the petitioner name from History Sheet opened on the file of the respondents police within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

2. It is the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that, petitioner has not involved in any criminal offence. The Sub Collector, Chengalpattu issued a letter in Ref.No.Na.Ka.A1/728-2022-2022 dated 04.01.2023 to the Inspector of Police informing that, petitioner has not involved in any offence in the recent past. He is not a habitual offender, therefore, there is no necessity for keeping him in the history sheet register.

3. In response, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that, petitioner's representation dated 24.02.2023 for removing his name in the History Sheet Register is received and it is pending. After enquiry, necessary and appropriate orders would be passed.

4. Recording the submission of learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), this Court directs the respondent police to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.02.2023 and pass appropriate orders in the manner known to law, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
