ORDER

Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioners have filed the above writ petition to issue a writs of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the appeal dated 19.01.2017 made by them, on merits and in accordance with law, after providing a reasonable opportunity to them to put forth the documents, within the stipulated time. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Mr.N.Umapathi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that though the petitioners have presented the appeal as early as on 19.01.2017, the 1st respondent has not disposed of the same yet.

4. Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal in accordance with law, after providing a reasonable opportunity of personal hearing to all the interested parties.

5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners' appeal dated 19.01.2017 and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing a reasonable opportunity of personal hearing to all the interested parties. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
