ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate I, Poonamallee to issue certified copies of the F.I.R and the order copy pertaining to Crime No.149 of 2009 registered by the

respondent as required in C.A.No.781 of 2022. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner applied for certified copies of First Information Report in Cr.No.149 of 2019 registered by the respondent Police. The copy application was returned stating that "First Information Report forms part of material records. The material records were signed and sent to record room. Despite the efforts made by the Court staff, the records could not be traced." 3.It is seen from the return order of learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Poonamallee, that "records are consigned and kept at record room". The learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Poonamallee, is directed to take effective steps for tracing the records and furnish the copies required by the petitioner. If records are not traceable, efforts should be taken for reconstruction of records for issuing the copies to the petitioner. Petitioner shall represent the copy application within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
