ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to take up the petitioner filed under Sec.10 of Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and

Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017 and dispose the same in accordance with the Act.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioner has given a representation dated 26.02.2021 requesting the respondents for fixation of fair rent. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the respondents till date. Hence, this petition.

3. In reply, the learned counsel appearing for the official respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation will be disposed of by the respondents within a period of 12 weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondents and also perused the entire materials available on record.

5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.02.2021 and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
