This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to receive and register the settlement deed dated 21.04.2025 Page No.1 of 4

bearing Temporary TP/216747578/2025 presented by the petitioner for registration.

2. Ms.K.Aswini Devi, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent, and on instructions, she submits that if the settlement deed dated 21.04.2025 presented by the petitioner, which is the subject matter of this writ petition, is otherwise in order, the said document will be registered by the respondent, and in case the respondent finds that the said document cannot be registered, the respondent shall pass a speaking order. The said statement made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent is recorded.

3. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to receive and register the settlement deed dated 21.04.2025 presented by the petitioner for registration, if the same is otherwise in order. If the respondent finds that the said document cannot be registered, the respondent shall pass a speaking order after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioner. respondent is directed to complete the aforesaid exercise within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of re-presentation of the settlement deed by the petitioner for registration.
