O R D E R

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(a), 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, in Crime No.504 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner herein and two other accused was found in possession of 10 litres of ID arrack. Hence the case has been registered against the petitioner.

3. There is no representation for the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner has six previous cases out of which three cases are prohibition cases. Hence, he vehemently opposed for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. It is seen that on the last occasion there was no appearance on behalf of the petitioner and hence it was posted today. Even today there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

6. Taking into account, the antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
