The petitioner has filed this Writ petition seeking direction to the respondent to disburse educational Loan in her favour, by considering her Page No.1 of 5
Loan Application Id:2328958 dated 28.11.2023.
2. The case of the petitioner is that she belongs to scheduled caste community and she secured 70% in her higher secondary examination and after completing her school education, she applied for B.Sc Nursing course in Thanthai Rover college of Nursing, Perambur and currently the petitioner is pursuing her 2nd year. The petitioner's college fees comes around Rs.1,60,000/- per year and since she is unable to pay the same, on 28.11.2023, the petitioner applied for educational loan before the respondent bank, vide Application bearing No.2328958. However, till date, no orders have been passed on the said application. Hence this writ petition.
3. Though very many grounds have been raised, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's Application Id:2328958 dated 28.11.2023 and to consequently, disburse the Educational loan in favour of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible.
4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent submitted that, appropriate orders will be passed on the petitioner's application dated Page No.2 of 5
28.11.2023 within the time stipulated by this Court.
5. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's Loan Application bearing No.2328958 dated 28.11.2023 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
