ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J.) Petitioner, father of the detenu Sambathkumar, aged about 21 years, has filed the present petition to cause production of his son, who is said to be in the illegal custody of the respondents 2 and 3, before this Court and to set him at liberty.

The detenu Sambathkumar has been produced by the 1st respondent police today. Petitioner/father of the detenu is also present.

Detenu Sambathkumar informs of having married a girl belonging to the neighbouring village and that he does not wish to go with his father / petitioner.

Petitioner / father states that the boy has indulged in wrong doing for the second time and the party, who had earlier preferred complaint against the detenu, had now taken him away from the parental home, with an eye on property. He also makes representation on caste lines.

Be that as it may, the detenu / boy who is now aged 21 years has stated that he will not accompany his father / petitioner herein. In these circumstances, this Court has no option, other than to close the present petition. Accordingly, the habeas corpus petition is closed.
