ORDER

The petitioners, who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 31.01.2026 for the alleged offences under Sections 189, 190, 103(1) of B.N.S. in Crime No.24 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police, seek bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners have committed murder with a motive of revenge.

3. Though the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners commenced his arguments by saying that these petitioners are the sisters of the deceased, while hearing the arguments submitted by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent police, it appears to be revenge murder. The learned Government Advocate further submitted that the investigation is in preliminary stage as the accused were remanded to judicial custody only on 31.01.2026. He would further submit that if the petitioners are enlarged on bail, then it would cause great repercussion in the investigation of prosecution. The above submission has force.

4. Therefore, this Court is of the opinion that it is not desirable to enlarge the petitioners on bail at this time.
