O RDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to provide adequate Police protection to the petitioner while surveying his property.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the first and second respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner owned the property comprised in Old S.No.72/1, New S.No.72/1B, situated at Thondamanallur Village, Cheyyur Taluk, Kanchipuram District. The petitioner intended to survey the property and to fence the same. However, the third respondent obstructed the Surveyor from surveying the petitioner's property. As such, the third respondent is neither the adjacent owner nor a relation to the petitioner claiming the subject property. The petitioner also paid the requisite fees before the Revenue Authorities to survey the property.

4. In view of the above, the Surveyor, while surveying the petitioner's property, if he finds any obstruction at the hands of the third respondent or any adjacent land owners, can seek Police protection before the second respondent. On such a request, the second respondent is directed to provide adequate Police protection, after conducting an enquiry, and pass orders to provide adequate Police protection to the Surveyor to survey the petitioner's property.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
