ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent to transfer patta in the name of the petitioner for the properties morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition.

2. Earlier, the patta application submitted by the petitioner with the second respondent was rejected. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer (first respondent). The first respondent has referred the matter back to the second respondent for reconsideration of the petitioner's application seeking for grant of patta.

3. The first respondent had directed the second respondent to reconsider the petitioner's application through his proceedings dated 02.09.2025. According to the petitioner, till date, the second respondent has not passed final orders on the petitioner's application, seeking for transfer of patta.

4. However, as seen from the documents filed along with this writ petition, the proceedings have already been initiated by the second respondent in respect of the petitioner's application, seeking for grant of patta. Since the

proceedings have already been initiated, no prejudice would be caused to any of the parties, if a direction is issued to the second respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's application, seeking for grant of patta, after hearing all the necessary parties, including neighbouring land owners, if any, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Mr. D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. Since no adverse orders are passed against the respondents 3 and 4, notice to the respondents 3 and 4 is dispensed with by this Court.

6. This Court, after giving due consideration to the fact that the first respondent had directed the second respondent to reconsider the petitioner's application, seeking for grant of patta as early as in the month of September 2025, deems it fit to direct the second respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's application, seeking for transfer of patta in his name for the subject properties within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

7. Accordingly, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's application, seeking for transfer of patta for the subject properties in his name after hearing all the necessary parties, as stated supra, within a period

of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
