PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records in C3/D.O./06/2017 dated 15.03.2017 on the file of the 2nd respondent and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents to produce my son Mohan @ Rajmohan, S/o. Late. Rajendiran, aged about 35 years, who now detained in Central Prison, Cuddalore, before this Court and set him at liberty. 1. The petitioner is the mother of the detenu, namely, Mohan @ Rajmohan, S/o.Late. Rajendiran, male, aged about 35 years. The detenu stands detained by the second respondent by virtue of his order bearing No.C3/D.O./06/2017 dated 15.03.2017, wherein, he has been held to be a "Goonda", within the meaning of Section 2(f) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. 1.1. The said order is under challenge in this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the said order of detention, passed by the second respondent against the son of the petitioner has been revoked by the Government in G.O.Rt.No.1778, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XII) Department dated 17.04.2017; a copy of the order has also been produced.
