PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to give police protection to measurement survey the petitioner's land situated at "New Survey No.218/1, to the extent of 1.36 cents at Meliruppu Village, Panrutti Taluk, Cuddalore District" by considering the petitioner's representation dated 05.01.2024.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to give police protection to survey the petitioner's land situated at "New Survey No.218/1, to the extent of 1.36 cents at Meliruppu Village, Panrutti Taluk, Cuddalore District" by considering the petitioner's representation dated 05.01.2024.

2. Heard Mr.K.Vijayakumar, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of first respondent.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for first respondent submitted that the representation made by the petitioner is not available with the first respondent. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that if fresh representation is made by the petitioner, the 2/4

same will be enquired and a decision will be taken with regard to providing police protection.

4. Considering the submissions made by learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to give a fresh representation to the first respondent. The first respondent, on receipt of the same, shall conduct an enquiry by issuing notice to all the interested parties and shall take a decision within a period of four (4) weeks.
