Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a writ of mandamus, directing the second respondent to take action on the petitioner's representation dated 04.08.2014 for causing air and noise pollution by the 3rd respondent Unit within a time frame.

(The Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble The Chief Justice) The petitioner seeks action against the third respondent for the air and noise pollution caused by the unit of the third respondent, who is stated to be engaged in the business of making gold ornaments on a large scale. A representation has already been made by the petitioner on 04.08.2014 to the second respondent/Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board.

2. Learned counsel for the TNPCB states that show cause notice has been issued to the third respondent and a decision in accordance with law will be taken after notice to all concerned within a maximum period of two months from today.
