ORDER

The Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for non compliance of the order dated 10.08.2023, passed by this Court in W.P.No.24742 of 2013, thereby directing the respondent to disburse all

monetary benefits to the petitioner within a period of sixteen weeks. 2.

The main writ petition has been filed challenging the charge memos issued for unauthorised absent of the petitioner and this Court by an order dated 10.08.2023, quashed the charge memos and also permitted the petitioner to retire from service from the date of his request for voluntary retirement. Further the respondent was also directed to disburse all monetary benefits to the petitioner. However, it was not complied with as such, the petitioner filed this petition to punish the respondent for non compliance of the order passed by this Court.

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that even before the order passed by this Court, on the strength of the charge memos, the petitioner was removed from service by an order dated 04.05.2009 itself. However, it was not brought to the notice of this Court. Therefore, the respondent is taking steps to review the order passed by this Court.
