The contempt petition has been filed to punish the respondent for her wilful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 17.03.2021 made in W.P.No.6917 of 2021.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that though a direction was issued to the 1st respondent to consider and pass an order on the representation made by the petitioner, the said direction has not been complied with so far. However, he has produced a copy of the reply dated 13.07.2021 received by the petitioner under RTI Act, in which the Writ Petition pertaining to the petitioner has been duly mentioned.

3. It is seen that though the decision taken on the representation of the petitioner has not been communicated to him, a perusal of the contents in the RTI reply issued by the District Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department reveals that it is a decision taken by the respondents on the basis of the order of this Court, as the Writ Petition filed by the petitioner has been referred to in the reply. Hence, I am of the view that no contempt has been made out as on date. Hence, this Contempt petition is closed and the contemnor is discharged from the contempt proceedings.
