Respondents PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to include the name of the petitioner in the select list by taking into consideration the fact that the petitioners have obtained secured high marks in the category of SC (Tamil Medium) and which is higher than the last selected candidates and accordingly appoint the petitioners are Gang Man (Trainee) from from the date when the selected candidates are appointed with all service and monetary benefits.

The petitioners have approached this Court seeking a direction to the respondents to include their names in the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

select list by taking into consideration the fact that they have secured higher marks in the category of SC (Tamil Medium) which is higher than the last selected candidate and accordingly appoint them from the date when the selected candidates are appointed with all service and monetary benefits.

2.Even though the petitioners have sought for a wider relief, restricts their relief to one of disposal of their representation dated 08.03.2021 by the respondents. 3.Considering the limited prayer, without going into merits of the case, a direction is given to the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 08.03.2021 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
