ORDER

The petitioners apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 4(1)(A) of TNP Act, in Crime No.06 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioners is that the petitioners is that the petitioner was involved in illegal possession of brandy bottles - 289 Nos. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court and hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the petitioner is an habitual offendor having 61 previous cases. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner having 61 previous cases, this Court is of the view that the petitioner does not deserve anticipatory bail.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 27.03.2026 sma 2/4
