JUDGMENT

(Delivered by D.KRISHNAKUMAR,J.) Heard Mr.S.Prabhakaran, learned Government Advocate for the appellants; and, Mr.S.V.Karthikeyan, learned counsel for the respondent.

2. Assailing the order dated 13.8.2021 passed by the learned Single Judge directing the second appellant to pass final orders in the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the respondent, the appellants have filed this writ appeal.

3. On 12.06.2024, this Court directed the appellants to file a status report qua the action taken to conclude the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the respondent in the light of G.O.Ms.No.66, Human Resources Management (N) Department, dated 6.7.2022.

4. Today, when the writ appeal is taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate, by producing the written instructions dated 18.6.2024 received from the Director, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Chennai-15, submitted that final orders in the disciplinary proceedings will be passed within a period of four months.

5. Recording the submission made by learned Government Advocate, we dispose of the writ appeal by directing the second appellant to pass final orders in the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the respondent within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, C.M.P.No.13148 of 2022 is closed.
