Heard Mr. V.T.Narendiran, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner, Mrs. R.Anitha, Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the First to Fifth Respondent and Mr. T.C.Harinath, Learned Counsel appearing for the Sixth Respondent and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties.

The Petitioner claims to have participated in the recruitment made to the post of Village Assistant at Andankarai Village, Thiruthuraipoondi Taluk, Tiruvarur District, but she had not been selected. In that backdrop, she has filed this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the Respondents to cancel the appointment of the Sixth Respondent made to that post and to provide such employment to her.

In response, the Fifth Respondent has filed Counter-Affidavit dated 11.04.2023 explaining that on comparative assessment of the inter se merit of the competing candidates, the Sixth Respondent, who was found most suitable had been selected as she had secured 84.3 marks as against 54.3 marks awarded to the Petitioner in this case, and the details have been shown below:- Name Marks Secured Total Edl.Qfn Riding Driving Skill Written Test Reading Residence Interview Writ petr 05 5.3 55.3 6th respdt 10 12.3 84.3 In view of the foregoing explanation of the Sixth Respondent, which deserves acceptance, it is not possible to entertain this Writ Petition.
