ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to issue directions to the respondent to conduct further investigation and to submit the final report in the Crime No.36 of 2022 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Nagapattinam, with a stipulated period of time as may be fixed by

this Court.

2. It is the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner that the First Information Report in Crime No.36 of 2022 was registered under Section 174 of Cr.P.C for the death of one Arvind Kumar. The respondent filed final report and that was not accepted by learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Nagapattinam. The learned Magistrate directed the respondent police to conduct further investigation in this case and file final report within a period of 90 days from the date of the Order. This Order was passed in RCS.No.02 of 2022 on 02.09.2022. Despite completion of 90 days, final report is not filed. Therefore, this petition is filed to issue directions to the respondent to conduct further investigation and to submit the final report in the Crime No.36 of 2022.

3. In response, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that final report would be filed within a period of one month.

4. In view of the submission of learned Government Advocate

(Criminal side), this Court directs the respondent police to file final report within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
