ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to register FIR based on complaint dated 14.03.2012, investigate the same and file final report as earliest.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, from the respondent police submits that the petition enquiry was conducted and the same was closed on 14.06.2014 on the ground that the petitioner did not submit the necessary documents.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the documents required by the police were produced on 11.08.2014 and on the same day, the Inspector of Police, Central Crime Branch - XV Team, Vepery, Chennai - 07 issued acknowledgment receipt after verification of the documents.

5. Under such circumstance, the respondent police is directed to re-open the enquiry and conduct enquiry and take action in accordance with the law laid down by the Honourable Apex Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)]. The petitioner is also directed to co-operate for the enquiry.
